- To keep your jewellery pieces from tarnishing and lasting longer, always store pieces individually in clear, resealable bags and away from heat, moisture and humidity. Do not store jewellery in the bathroom or anywhere that is constantly moist and wet.
- Keep away from harsh sunlight, heat, water, chemicals, oils and perfumes. Always apply your make-up and perfume before putting on your jewellery, to prevent the oils and chemicals from perfumes and sprays from tarnishing your jewellery pieces.
- Always take your jewellery off before trying on clothes to prevent snagging stones and diamontes from jewellery, and also to prevent ruining that beautiful silk top.
- Do not wear your jewellery when sleeping, washing your hands, bathing, swimming, working out or when engaging in physical activities that could damage your pieces. Sweat will tarnish plated jewellery so always wipe jewellery after use with a soft cloth.
- Do not use alcohol, ammonia, vinegar, soap or other cleaning fluids to clean costume jewellery. Use a clean, soft cloth.
- Always store gold plated pieces together and silver plated pieces together, do not mix colours to prevent tarnishing your jewellery.
- Take care when wearing pieces with diamontes and stones, these are usually glued on with jewellery glue and can be scratched and knocked off if you're not careful.
